Jessismama Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 Hi, i'm new on board. Next Year in March we want to go to Florida. In Miami we need an Airport Hotel for 1 Night 2 Rooms. Wat is the best Time to bid on Priceline? Is it now to early?Regards Jessismamabtw: please sorry for my englisch!
AaronJB Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)It's never too early to try to bid, but it's a little early to be aggressive with bidding, as you do have time. Depending on the date/s, March date/s may be when some schools have spring break. What would be the date/s of travel and desired star rating/budget per night?
Jessismama Posted May 28, 2012 Author Report Posted May 28, 2012 Thank you for your post. The date is 3/23/2013 for 1 Night and 2 Rooms. I guess our max. is 85 - 100 $ per room (lower is even better :) ). star rating 2,5 and up.what do you think?Regards Jessismama
thereuare Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 2.5* or better for this trip? We don't usually see airport stays for much more than a night, is this the only zone that is acceptable for this stay?Do you know of any special events taking place during these dates which would cause a spike in hotel demand? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Jessismama Posted May 29, 2012 Author Report Posted May 29, 2012 Puhh, i've had problems to unterstand you. What does it mean: ".... which would cause a spike in hotel demand?" I choose the airport zone, because we come from germany that day and want to pick up our rental car early at the next day. We have small children with us and have to go to fort myers, so we want a cheap hotel only for sleeping.
thereuare Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 What does it mean: ".... which would cause a spike in hotel demand?"An increase in prices.I choose the airport zone, because we come from germany that day and want to pick up our rental car early at the next day.Makes sense... i misread your post the first time around and thought it said '1 room / 2 nites', and didn't think this area would necessarily be a good choice for a 2 nite stay... for one nite it would seem to meet your needs well. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
