dots_candy Posted May 28, 2012 Report Share Posted May 28, 2012 I just booked an 8 day car rental through the PHL airport and was pleased with my result.Technically my accepted offer price was $12.63 per day because I had $21 bonus cash that was spread over the 8 days. It seems to me essentially that means it was a $12 bid since we aren't allowed to bid on car rentals in fractions of a dollar on PL. But I can edit the topic description if need be. I was told I would have a 'good chance' at a $13 bid by Priceline, but I decided I would start at $9 + bonus cash yesterday, then bid $10 plus bonus cash today and it was accepted. The retail rates were $300+ for my time period, but Hotwire showed $13.95 a day plus taxes for a compact, so I thought I might be able to get less than the $13 a day accepted and I was right.Your Offer Price: $10.00 (per day)Total Offer Price with Bonus: $12.63 (per day)Total Rental Days: 8 daysSubtotal: $80.00Taxes and Fees: $52.13Total Charges: $132.13 Link to comment
