mfkong Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 Any 4* in the aquarium area is fine. Hotwire is showing $300 for Inter-Continental but I don't want to spend more than $200.What price should I start from? how many re-bidding zones are there? Thanks a bunch.

mfkong Posted May 31, 2012 Author Report Posted May 31, 2012 Tried two days already. Rejected even at $220. :(
thereuare Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 At what point do you:raise your bidlower your star ratingconsider other zonesI think the last item is the biggest factor effecting your rejected, as there are only two 'known' 4* hotels in the zone you're bidding and each is $325+ for your dates thru hotel direct booking channels.I do see what i'm guessing to be the Omni Parker House available for $145/nite for your dates... for a $50+ per nite savings could you make this work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. mfkong Posted May 31, 2012 Author Report Posted May 31, 2012 Initial bid $145Added rebid zone: Brighton with a bid of $150 and failed,Added rebid zone: North Cambridge with a bid of $155 and failed, Added rebid zone: South Boston with a bid of $165 and won!Hotwire for the same star and zone was $203. Glad to see your plans were flexible and you were able to adjust your zone preference to get a nice deal on a hotel within your budget. The Silver Line stops right infront of this property and is a quick ride to the center of town, or if you enjoy walking it's only about 15-20 minutes or so.Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
