Priceline Hotel: Resort San Juan Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza

We were looking to get a hotel room for a few days before and after our caribbean cruise leaving from San Juan (I picked days that gave us the best flight prices). I bid on 5/23/12 for 4 days pre-cruse and my first bid of $80 per night was accepted. The next day, when I had more time, checked out to competition and thier rates, and decided that I wouldn't mind stay another 2 days at Condado Plaza I bid a little more conservatively.

Started with 4* and Resorts at $65 in San Juan: rejected

Added Aguadilla (no 4* resorts in that location)and increased to $70: rejected

Added Cabo Rojo (no 4* resorts in that location)and increased to $75: Accepted!

Could have saved $20 if I would have spent more time bidding the first day.Puerto Ri co has lots of areas that don't have anything higher then 3* so you can start bidding low and keep adding areas (Rio Grande/Fajardo/El Yunque was the only other one with Resorts)
