jonathan443322 Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 Listed at $213. Notable amenities include an indoor pool and "roll in" shower. Any ideas what this is?

thereuare Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 The InterContinental would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. jonathan443322 Posted May 23, 2012 Author Report Posted May 23, 2012 I am up to $205 for one night 6/23 in Boston, with Back Bay / Coply, Beacon Hill, and Quincy Market / Financial District. Four stars only. Not a nibble.Any suggestions as to how high I might have to go? Is bidding for a Saturday night (without a Friday night) part of the problem?
thereuare Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Have you looked at HOTWIRE?While their star ratings may not always be the same as PRICELINE's, there are some options at just about the amounts you have already bid:4.5* Quincy Market - Financial District for $208/nite4* Quincy Market - Financial District for $230/nite4* Boston Common - Theatre District for $200/niteNot in a zone you have already bid but something you may want to consider if budget is a primary concern:4* Waterfront - Convention Center $161/niteAny of these of interest? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jonathan443322 Posted May 23, 2012 Author Report Posted May 23, 2012 I have looked at HOTWIRE. I figure (thanks to you) the 4.5 star is The Intercontinental and I would rather not be on that side of town. Going to $230 is not out of the question. By the way, my Hotwore prices are slightly different than yours--$5 higher--and they have been at that level for several days.
thereuare Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 It's not uncommon for HOTWIRE prices to be a few dollars difference from one search to the next or one user to the next. What about the 4* Boston Common-Theater District property which i'm guessing is the The Back Bay Hotel, which is well reviewed with a 4.5/5.0 TA rating. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jonathan443322 Posted May 24, 2012 Author Report Posted May 24, 2012 I'll take a look at The Back Bay Hotel. Thanks for that tip.
jonathan443322 Posted May 24, 2012 Author Report Posted May 24, 2012 I'm thinking the Common / Theater District hotel on Hotwire is the W Boston and not The Back Bay.
thereuare Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 The Boston Common - Theatre District property with these amenities:Boutique HotelSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafFree InternetAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityWheelchair accessibleAccessible bathroomRoll-in shower It's possible, but i'd be surprised if it were the W Boston... i still think The Back Bay Hotel is the better guess. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jonathan443322 Posted May 24, 2012 Author Report Posted May 24, 2012 Intercontinental it is. Booked it.
jonathan443322 Posted May 24, 2012 Author Report Posted May 24, 2012 I decided to go with Hotwire, Quicy Market / Financial District, 4 star, at $213 and it was indeed The Intercontinental. Looking like a very good deal.
