121Crest Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 Hi,I am a brand new user to better bidding and am seeking some help with regards to bidding.Dates 21-25 November 2012.Ideally 4 star or above in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area, hoping for price range of $140-160? Obviously the cheaper the better! Do you think this is achievable? What are your suggestions re strategy? Thanks
thereuare Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 At the moment availability looks a little light, but i'm not sure if it's due to these dates being expensive for some reason/event OR if it's simply early with 6+ months before this trip.If you want to start and get this done sooner rather than later, i'd keep your maximum bid at ~$125 for the time being as you have plenty of time to bid higher in the weeks ahead. At the 4* level in the Los Angeles region you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 4* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $105, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood and re-bid zone4...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $125Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. 121Crest Posted May 24, 2012 Author Report Posted May 24, 2012 Thank you for your reply and suggestions!I've tried bidding up to $125 and was rejected so I think I'll wait a while and try again.
