I'd really like a 5* hotel,but I'd only be willing to pay up to $250. Is this a reasonable expectation?Otherwise, a 4* hotel will be great nevertheless, and I'd be willing to spendup to $200.The areas I have in mind are: Midtown East, Midtown West and Times Square.First, would anyone be able to come up with a bidding strategy for me?Second, are my budgets reasonable? Or am I just dreaming (for the 5* hotel).Appreciate this a lot.
thereuare Posted May 20, 2012 Report Posted May 20, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Your budget is likely enough for a 4*, but a 5* will likely be difficult simply from the standpoint that there is only one zone which offers 5* hotels and we therefore don't see 5* wins very often... any 5* hotels in this zone (only one 'known') doesn't give inventory to PRICELINE too often. However, summer is slow season in NYC, so it's certainly worth a shot.If you want to start trying for a 5* hotel, when bidding this star level you have SEVENTEEN re-bid zones.
