travel333 Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 I was using Priceline to bid for mid-September (Sept 15-17th) 4* in downtown Portland. I didn't win (went up to $70) and will try again in a few days, but I am now worried regarding the comments about the Benson. Do you think Priceline is still a good one to try? I don't mind spending a little more to have a nice place. Maybe Hotwire is bettter? I have had really good luck with Priceline in San Diego, Baltimore, San Jose, L.A., etc. but maybe downtown Portland doesn't have as many 4* options.
thereuare Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! It all depends upon how flexible you are as to where you stay and how 'fussy' (not in a bad way) you are... some people are fine with a room that has a little dust, others are upset if they are short-changed one mint on their pillow.Does Hotwire show any attractive offerings for your date within your price range? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
