bacardi
Used the HOTWIRE and PRICELINE link like always. Utilized the $7/night bonus coupon so I was agressive and bid in $5 increments since the coupon expires today, $70/night failed.Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $75.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $225.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $41.16 (USD) Total Room Cost: $266.16 (USD Best deal I could find was $502.78 so nearly a 50% savings... thereuare
bacardi,Congratulations on your success! Looks like an excellent deal for this property. Is this stay in addition to, or does it replace, your recent bidding error when you received a Resort property when bidding 4* in Vegas? Were you able to resolve that purchase? Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay.alwin120,For help with your own stay please start a NEW TOPIC (and please read your messages before replying).Thanks. bacardi
With bonus cash, is there a consensus that it really is as good as cash? Eg a $50 bid is really as a good as a $40 + $10 bonus cash? Just wondering...I guess really my bid was $82...These dates are Sunday-Wednesday, I tried the "split" or "divide and conquer" method where you bid separately on the expensive nights...I'm arriving on Saturday and somewhat luckily, I only had a 4* for one night...It was about $110 bid, but I suppose could be a lot worse like all four nights...I called priceline 3 times, all times I have a CS rep with an accent, they all went through the same routine...Give you a $10/night coupon up to $50, capped at a 4* (the other two times they asked if I received the coupon), ask for a supervisor and you get a relations manager, also foreign and they say they're as high as they go...Impossible to change/refund, have to write the company...Guess I'll write it off as a "stupid tax" as Dave Ramsey says... thereuare
I believe the bonus cash is real... but just like a 'regular' bid, PRICELINE will make sure that they don't lose money on the sale.
