Hi All,

I am a first time user of the forum and look forward to getting some help from the Pros.

I am looking to book a hotel for my parents who will be visiting NYC from June 1-4th. I am hoping that they can get something in the Times Sq/ Mid-town Central/ Mid-town East area so that they have convenient access to most tourist attractions (Any other areas i should be looking at ?). I am looking in the range of $150-175 for a 3.5* and up hotel.

A ran a search on Hotwire (06/01-06/04, 2 adults 1 child)and got the following deal. I need help to identify the respective hotel and in figuring out if the deal is worth it

3.5* Midtown East area hotel @ $162

Amenities: Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access

Q: is it the Helmsley New York ? Is the deal terrible/fair/good deal ? should I be looking for a better deal/to bid/to use priceline ?

Thank you all for all the help in advance.

Cheers

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

My guess would be the Helmsley.

If you are a party of three, I'd strongly suggest HOTWIRE for NYC, as you can indicate the amount of people in the party. PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy, and using the PRICELINE in NYC (where rooms are often small and rooms with two beds often go for a premium) will likely result in getting one bed. You will see less options on HOTWIRE when searching for more than 2, but this would be a good deal for these dates - especially considering triple occupancy.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
