EDC2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Hey there. Me and a friend are looking for somewhere to rest of weary heads after Electric Daisy Carnival nights. Dates for us are June 6- June 11. We were looking to pay around 1000 - 1200 for those 6 nights. We were thinking a pool would be great to laze around during the days. We definatly want to stay in the Strip South or Strip North zones. Any suggestions of place and bidding tips are greatly appreciated!
AaronJB Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Which zone/s would work best for your travel plans? Additionally, is your budget 1000-1200 "all-in" (including taxes/fees?)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
EDC2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Report Posted May 16, 2012 We would definitely like to be on the Strip. The budget would be all in for 1000-1200 including resort fees and taxes.
thereuare Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Dates for us are June 6- June 11... 6 nights. Is your check-out date June 12 or is this actually a 5 nite stay? What star level are you seeking? Are you wiling to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive property at the minimum star rating you've chosen? Is something like the Westin acceptable, which is in PRICELINE and HOTWIRE's 'strip zone' but actually located slightly off-strip?Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly. EDC2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Report Posted May 16, 2012 Sorry. 5 nights. Check in on June 6th and Check out on June 11th.We would want a 4 or 5 star hotel. The price could move a bit if we could get a 5 star. I'de really love to stay at Cosmopolitan or Wynn if we could.
thereuare Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 What did you want to try for a first... a 5* hotel up to your maximum bid then if rejected try for a 4* OR is the least expensive 4* or better your objective for this stay?Is something like the Westin acceptable, which is in PRICELINE and HOTWIRE's 'strip zone' but actually located slightly off-strip????Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. EDC2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Report Posted May 16, 2012 First try 5* to maximum bid and then if unsuccessful try 4*.
thereuare Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Since a resort fee, if any, is unknown it's hard to include that in your maximum budget parameters, but assuming $20-$25/nite you're probably looking at ~$200 maximum bid. This may put you a few dollars over your $1200 budget, but we'll use this as a maximum bid and you can stop at whatever amount you're comfortable with. I'm also assuming that you're not interested in the Trump (which is 5* rated but slightly off-strip... if this is an acceptable hotel then post back before bidding as per below):When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones.
