Priceline Hotel: New York Hotel

Hi,

Looking to get a cheap hotel in NYC for 3 nights, starting 4th June. New to forum and priceline.

Would just like something relatively central within walking distance (20 min) of Times square and close to a subway.

Any idea what i would expect for max $150 night inc taxes?

Any bidding strategies?

Your $150 'all-in' rate is equivalent to a ~$125 bid price and based upon current rates i don't think you'll likely get anything in Manhattan within this price range.

What is the minimum star rating you're seeking? Using BiddingHelper.com and/or MAPS and HOTELS.com, what is the best rate thru 'traditional' booking channels you're able to find at this star level?

Been trying to bid in the following areas;

Times square

Chelsea

MTE

Madison square garden

Central Park south

Its my first time to new york so preferred to stay central but really anyplace close to a subway would do.

I have bidding up to £99 = approx $157 with no luck, 3* and above, 4-7th June.

I thought this would be a good enough bid? Any help and advice appreciated.

The price i have bidding does not include taxes, so approx $150 excluding taxes.

Looking for 3*, looking at maps I thought this was a reasonable price to bid at? Is this not realistic?
