Tried again for the following weekend bidding up $1 at a time from $90, bid accepted at $93 plus $6.67 from the Entertainment Book (I have a few of those).

The reviews from Trip Advisor aren't the greatest saying it's not the nicest of the Marriotts in London so we'll see, I'll have two weekends there. Extend your stay option not working, must be a special weekend deal. Will now try to get a good rate for the weeknights. I guessed that I'd get better overall pricing with the weekend deals than if I bid the whole week at once.
