Jdemarcos Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Hi,I have been lurking in this forum for a while and found it very useful for us Hotwire "blind" users. Now I am planning to travel to New York next July and I think I will need your help to locate the following offer found in Hotwire.Location: Chelsea - Madison Square GardenStar rating: 4*Check-in date: Jun 30Check-out date: Jul 3Amenities:Free Internet, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet AccessHotelRate per night: $162.00Hotwire recommendation: 70%TripAdvisor: 4 out of 5Your help in guessing the hotel will be much appreciated.Best regards,Jaume de Marcos
AaronJB Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)My guess is that this may be a slightly different amenity set than has been previously seen with the Ramada New Yorker.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 Could be hotel indigo??Not likely... if you need help with an upcoming stay of your own, please click each of these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and then start a NEW TOPIC for your own trip, including the dates of your stay.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Jdemarcos Posted May 9, 2012 Author Report Posted May 9, 2012 Thank you for your answers. Apparently the Ramada New Yorker is the best guess, but I am not sure that it would be the best choice for my stay. If I finally choose this offer I will post the final result.Jaume
thereuare Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Please follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing for this trip... even if it's not PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, you book direct, cancel the trip, etc.Ideally all threads on the board should have a 'conclusion' as it helps keep this place better organized and more useful for everyone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. Jdemarcos Posted May 10, 2012 Author Report Posted May 10, 2012 Hi,I had previously run a search in the Chelsea area but was not too happy with the candidates, so I finally got this win for a 4* in the Central Park area. Originally it was announced as $161 per day. I used your Hotwire box for the reservation. The amenities were: Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access. So I thought it was probably On the Avenue. However it turned out to be the Empire, which was the other 4* hotel in the area that is included in your list. So it was somewhat a surprise for me, but yet, I think it is also a good choice. Thanks a lot for your help. I am looking forward to a happy stay in NYC.Jaume
Jdemarcos Posted May 10, 2012 Author Report Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks for your suggestion. I finally run a new search in Hotwire, this time in the Central Park area, and got the Empire for a very nice rate. I used your HOTWIRE box for the reservation. So this thread is now concluded.
AaronJB Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Congrats on your success. :)Definitely a nice result for this Central Park property.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
