Priceline Hotel: Need bidding strategy for 10/10-10/13 Las Vegas st

My target prices are: 5 star $100 ; 4 star $85. Preferably the 5 star.

If no success by October my target price may increase by $10.

the top hotels Venetian, Bellagio, NY NY, Luxor, the hotel, MGM seem to put out promotions on occasion, but none cover my dates.

Any ideas?

Ive tried one bid of $95 on 5 star and was offered $144.

(im also willing to accept a flight hotel combo, current flight price is $214 p/person round trip)

With the current price its going to take $120-$135 to get the 5* at this time. Most of the time the $99 deals come close to the check-in dates.

You could try $99 now but I don't think it will be enough at this time. You have plenty of free rebids at the 5* level in Vegas so it won't hurt to low ball this one. Its been months since we have seen the Venetian won for less then $99.

I would reserve a cancellable back-up while you continue to try your other options.

I recommend the Monte Carlo at $109/nite as a good 4* back-up.

As bbbb, points out, your current 5* bid is likely too low based upon current rates.
