After having no luck for another BWI stay (bid up to $65 for 2.5* with no hits) I decided I'd just bid Inner Harbor 4* instead. I was running out of time with another same-day bid. Too bad, really. Based on what I actually did after leaving work, it would have been much better logistically if these hotel nights had been reversed (downtown on Mon, BWI on Tues), but oh, well.

This was another one-shot deal. Put in $70 not expecting a hit, but got this one right away. Considering that in the dead of winter I was staying for only $10 less (and one night the same price), this seems like a great deal. Perhaps it is because of (rather than despite) the last-minute nature of the bid. A lot of people seemed to be checking in there, so it wasn't that empty at all.

You other folks who got this should be reasonably happy I think. The Marriott Waterfront is a nice hotel, fairly new I think (because it doesn't look old enough to have just been renovated, which would be the other explanation). I like the new Marriott bedding standard. (Will post more in Reviews section.)
