Looking for Niagara falls 4* hotel stay, I've read people getting it for 90 dollars but I just tried bidding 135 and it asked me to up the bid to 160 to be able to bid again. My price range would be 100 dollars at the most as I don't have much money to spend as a student.

Me and my girlfriend are looking to stay there for our anniversary on the dates of May 12 2012 and leaving the next morning.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Rates are date specific so it's not uncommon that you won't be able to replicate another user's winning bid if there are dates are different than your own. In your case you're looking for a Saturday nite, and weekends in this area are usually more expensive than midweek, as well it can sometimes be difficult to win a solo Saturday nite (as it makes it more difficult for the hotel to fill the room for a solo Friday nite since the majority of guests to this area book for the entire weekend).

The counter-offer suggests that the 'right' number is between $136 and $160... are you willing to bid any higher than the $135 you have already? If not, you can either try again and hope for lower priced inventory to have be added i the next few days (although you don't have much time to wait) OR lower your star rating.
