Hotwire Hotel: 3* New York City (Chelsea - Madison Square Garden) Holiday Inn Sixth Avenue

I'm wanting a 4* hotel for myself and 2 children for 3 nights, preferably in the Times Square area or MTE/MTW. I'd like to stay around $200/night if possible. Is this possible, and what advice can you offer me? I understand that Hotwire will be my better option since I will need 2 beds.

Rates can vary substantially from day-to-day and seasonally; what are your desired date/s of travel? If you search on HOTWIRE for your dates, are you seeing any listings of interest within your desired budget?

Sorry it's taken so long to reply.....

The travel dates I'm looking at are anytime in the last 2 weeks of June, for 3 nights. I see a 3* in Midtown Central for $200/night and a 3* in MSG area for $223/night. Those would be doable. Thoughts? Any suggestions to figuring out which hotel I might get?

For what dates are seeing the above zones/rates offered? What are the amenities that HOTWIRE associates with each? Are you including 1adult/2children in your search?

June 18-21. The amenities are the same for both zones: free internt, fitness center, accessible for the blind. Yes, 1A/2C. Would it make a difference if I said 2A/2C?

I might add also that today's amenities are different than they were yesterday, which were things like free internet, business center, restaurant(s), fitness center.

HOTWIRE hotels can change very quickly. What you are now seeing is most probably a different hotel.

If you like something, probably best to jump on it. Or, if you miss something, keep checking back as it is likely to reappear.

Hotels do also change their amenities lists from time to time (maybe to keep us from guessing what they are?).

Please list the full list of amenities associated with each property (and double check as i don't think they are the same for each)

You can try searching for 2adults/2children to see if the offers change at all, but they're more likely to change when going from double occupancy to triple occupancy as opposed to triple occupancy to quad occupancy. You can try changing to 3adults which may change the offers, but will also likely make the price increase.

I'd also suggest trying searches from Friday-Monday as generally that may be a little less expensive than midweek nites.

Amenities for MC: Free Internet, Fitness Center, Pool, restaurant, accessible for deaf, hi speed internet, accessible for blind, accessible path of travel, in-room accessibility, accessible bath, handicapped parking, roll-in shower.

Friday through Monday would save me about $50. but M-Th works better for my schedule. I'm hoping that travelling midweek will be less crowded, but being NYC and summer, I'm sure anytime is crowded.

Best guess for the MTC property would be the Holiday Inn Midtown 57th St... for the MSG property i'd guess the Holiday Inn Sixth Avenue.
