Priceline Hotel: Anchorage and SF Bay area in June

Hi,

I have been trying to bid on Anchorage hotel (6/25-6/29) and Silicon vally hotel (6/20-6/25) but nothing seems to be availalbe for my bid price ($100 for 4 stars).... should i wait till last minute to bid??

for hotwire, do prices drop for 2-3 adv. booking rather than 2-3 weeks adv. booking? please advice. thanks.
