Priceline Hotel: 3.5* DC (Bethesda) Bethesda Marriott Suites

Well, it's the one reported 3.5* that I was hoping not to get in this area, LOL, but c'est la vie with Priceline, right? I'd been bidding in the district and had been up to $185 for a 3.5* with not so much as an "increase your bid" offer. There's nothing in the city on Hotwire for these dates under $200. So I added Bethesda, knowing it was risky and hoping for something within walking distance the Metro, but ended up here. The Marriott claims to have a shuttle to the Metro and I do love the Marriott chain, so it'll be fine, just a bit more trouble.

For this one, I bid $140 and they offered $173. I rebid at $150 and $155, and won it at $155. It's going for about $275 on their site, so it's a deal. :)

Nice rate for this Marriott property during an extremely busy period, although sorry to hear that the result isn't optimal from a location standpoint.
