Earl X Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Ok. So my buddy and I are going to be in Vegas the weekend of the 17th.I want to get a hotel Near the Wyndham resort since a lot of our friends are staying there, but it's not a must.I tried priceline for a 5* and 4* and went up to $129. I was rejected. I started at $120, $125 then $129.Any suggestions? Also, wassup with the Trump? It looks like a 4 star hotel. Is the Trump a bad hotel or bad location or bad rooms? Wassup with that?I wil also try Hotwire, since I can be guaranteed 2 beds.
AaronJB Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 You posted this prior Las Vegas Priceline Win for 5/17-18 - just to confirm, are you now looking for 5/18-20? What bids have you made so far in terms of star rating, zone? What would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Earl X Posted April 26, 2012 Author Report Posted April 26, 2012 Correct. I did win for a Thursday night. Now, I need a room since my buddy is flying down Friday afternoon.I tried 4* and 5* at $120, 125, 129 and 130 so far. I am waiting my 24 hour period to rebid. I picked the following zones: Las Vegas Strip North Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South I appreciate the feedback!
thereuare Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Not sure i'm following your plans 100%, but i believe you are now looking for one room from 5/18-5/20. If this is correct...Do you have any interest in the Westin for ~$115-$120? (it's located slightly off the strip)If not, you're probably looking at ~$150-$175 for a 4* for this leg of your trip.Let us know your thoughts and we'll advise accordingly. Earl X Posted May 2, 2012 Author Report Posted May 2, 2012 I knew I would end up with the Trump. But it's still a good deal! Thanks for all the help on BetterBidding.com!
Earl X Posted May 2, 2012 Author Report Posted May 2, 2012 So I won the trump for my upcoming trip.So does the Trump offer 2 queens? Is that an upgrade or something? I would love some feedback from people that have stayed there.Cheers
AaronJB Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Please keep all discussion about this stay within this thread. Thanks.PRICELINE guarantees one bed/double occupancy; in terms of getting more than one bed that has to be requested with the hotel. The hotel may be more than willing to work with you, but there have been a number of reports of Vegas hotels charging more.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
