Started bidding 3.5* hotels at Miami Airport fro $50, did not win, then:

next day $55 for 4* (unsuccessful) so same day changed to 3.5* for $56 (unsuccessful)

then next day $60 for 3.5* (unsuccessful)

then next day $63 for 4* (unsuccessful) and then same day $65 for 3.5* (unsuccessful)

then next day $67 for 4* (unsuccessful) and then same day $69 for 3.5* (unsuccessful)

then next day $70 for 3.5*, SUCCESS!

1 night Friday May 11 at the Mariott Miami Airport, $70, total with taxes $87.12. Priceline claimed that was a savings of 49%. Checked their retail listings and the Mariott was listed at $139 for that night, so the 49% saving was correct.
