geometry
Hi,I have used your link to access HOTWIRE and got the following hotel:San Juan Area HotelRecommended in 85 % of Hotwire customer reviewsOffered for $179 and is $251 on other sitesWould only show up if you select three people, but not two...ResortBeachfront PropertyCasinoPoolRestaurantBusiness CentreLaundry Facilities (Self Service)High Speed Internet AccessTennis nearbySpa ServicesThis seems a tad expensive, but I think it got to do with the date... and since I have three people, I can't use priceline. Or would I be able to get two rooms at a cheaper rate with priceline? I read some of the post and people seems to be getting a lot better rate than this. I will be happy with 3* and up. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.G Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. The property above is a match for the InterContinental so that would be my best guess for this one. What are your needs for this trip? Is this a pre/post-cruise stay, do you need a beachfront property vs. a room to sleep for the nite, anything in particular you need nearby, etc, etc? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. geometry
Thanks.I am looking for one day pre-cruise. I am arriving in San Juan early Saturay afternoon and cruise leaves 10pm Sunday night. It is my first time in San Juan so I have no idea yet as to where I should stay and what I should do. But I am looking for a nicer hotel and not something to just spend the night. Also, I want to ask why this hotel does not show up if you just enter 2 people instead of 3?Is this expensive for this property? Thanks.G Link to comment
thereuare
Given that no 4* properties are showing when searching for double occupancy, i can't say why this only appears when searching for triple occupancy.Assuming that you do only need double occupancy, you can try searching HOTWIRE for 2adults/1child and the price may go down a few dollars (i'm seeing $165/nite when searching 2adults/1child).Using our BiddingHelper.com i see that hotel direct rates for this property start at $198, so there is a little savings, but not very much. However, this is one of the better rated hotels in the area and it has a fantastic beachfront location, so it's up to you to decide if the savings are enough to lock this in at this point in time... you may a cheaper 4* hotel offered down the road, but it may not be this one or a property as well located or rated. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. geometry
Hi thereuare,Thanks for the response. I actually do need a room for 3 people, but ideally I would like a suite. So I am really considering doing priceline for two rooms. I am looking for 3.5* and up. What would be the recommended starting price point? Thanks.G Link to comment
thereuare
When searching for 1room/3adults on HOTWIRE the 4* above is not priced at $161, which is closer to a the 'break' point between a deal vs. no deal.If seeking 2 rooms thru PRICELINE, let us know your maximum budget (per room before taxes and fees) and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
