AaronJB Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)What would be your desired budget per night, and how many people are going to be in each room?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
sfaust Posted April 28, 2012 Author Report Posted April 28, 2012 2 people per room, I think were looking to spend around 100 a night per room if possible.

sfaust Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 Well after many failed attempts of bidding i finally got a winner, I ended up going for a 3 1/2 star 'Club Quarters Wacker At Michigan' 4 rooms3 nights$100 a night per room + tax Overall looks like it will suit our needs and be an easy location for getting around the city hopefully! p.s. I used the PRICELINE link
thereuare Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Congratulations on your success! Happy to see you received a nice deal for this stay during the busy summer season. Your original dates were listed as 7/27-7/29 but you mention booking for 3 nites so i've edited to reflect dates of 7/27-7/30, can you confirm that this is correct (or did you add a nite to the beginning of your stay?)Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. sfaust Posted May 15, 2012 Author Report Posted May 15, 2012 Yes you are correct about the dates, must of been a typo from me a few weeks ago. I was wondering if trying too book 4 rooms made it more difficult to win a hotel?
thereuare Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Thanks for the follow-up!The number of rooms is often a non-factor, but when it is a factor, it's a negative one since the hotel needs to have offered as many rooms as you need at the deeply discounted rate. As an example:Hotel A: has one room available at $85/niteHotel B: has eight rooms available at $95/niteIf you need 4 rooms and bid $85 it would be enough if you were only looking for one room, but since you need four rooms it would take at least $95 to be successful in this situation. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
