Well, after trying for a couple weeks, I finally got a win for a 4* hotel in mid-town NYC.

I was looking in primarily these zones:

Chelsea Area (CH)

Empire State Building Area (ESB)

Midtown East (MTE)

Midtown West (MTW)

Times Square - Theatre District (TS)

Hell's Kitchen (HK)

Central Park South (CPS)

I originally started out bidding at $130 for a 4* hotel a couple of weeks ago. I've slowly been increasing my lowest bid and highest bid until I won today.

Today's bid started at $150, then for each re-bid zone I added I increased it by $5 till I reached my max bid of $175 which was accepted

From the HOTWIRE links, the current best price for a 4* hotel was $185. So, while not as low as I was originally trying, I still think I got a pretty decent deal using priceline.

I always start out my bidding using the PRICELINE quick quote at the top of your web site. So hopefully you still get points for my win.

A nice deal for this property which is not seen very often as a win. This property is well located and generally gets very good reviews, plus with it being a Kimpton brand they offer an evening wine reception every nite which is a nice way to end the day or start a nite out on the town.
