I need to book a hotel for a night - 7/16 - 7/17 (saturday-sunday). I willing to pay a max of about $50, so probably a 2* or 3* should suffice.

What bidding strategies would you recommend?

actually, i would prefer Hull, but could do with any other place within Ottawa itself.

i tried Hull, 3* 45, rejected, lowered it to 2.5* 48 rejected.

and stopped.

I could add more zones, but decided to wait for further guidance.

Can you please clarify/confirm a few things...

-your first 2 bids were in the Hull zone

-the Residence Inn you win is in the Ottawa zone

-is the Residence Inn rated 2* or 2.5*... previously (and recently) listed at 2.5*, the correct star rating should show on your winning bid confirmation screen (you may have been upgraded if you bid the 2* level)

this hotel is really good...it should probably be ranked 3*....service, reception is good - the rooms are large, with kitchen, refrigerator, etc ...good for a family on a vacation. Will stay here again !
