Jumelle Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 As a first time user of Priceline or Hotwire I am curious as to where I should start as far as a rate for a 3+ star hotel. We need the room for just one night on Sunday May 6th. This is a trip we will need to do over the next several months so I'm hoping for a reasonable rate. Would $100 be too low/high?Thanks for any help!
thereuare Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Hopefully future dates you need will be more accommodating, but unfortunately this first stay in the area appears that it is expensive and $100 may not be enough for the University zone. If you want to give a try...At the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* University...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85If rejected wait 24 hours and re-try:Select 3* University...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100If the above is rejected we'll see what alternate options might be available.Any questions regarding the above feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
