Priceline Hotel: Advice Needed for NYC 5/9 - 5/19

Hello,

My parents will be visiting NYC around 5/9ish through 5/19ish. Budget pre-tax ~$200 or less. Would ideally like to stay in a 4* anywhere in CPS, Chelsea, ESB, HK, MSG, ME, MW, SH/TB, and TS/Theater. Is this a feasible goal? Are there any shabby 4* in these areas to avoid/be aware of?

If they decide to go down to 3+*, which of those areas do you recommend aiming for avoiding based on good or bad 3+* hotels in those areas? Thanks very much.
