Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Philadelphia (University Area) Sheraton University City Hotel

First of all, I make my research. I found a 3.5 stars on HOTWIRE for $94, so I went to PRICELINE, using this forum links, and bid $64 for this area on a 3.5 star hotel. Was rejected, but they offer me to rebid $79 again, I denied, added a zone, a bid $69, and it was accepted. It is at $284 on other sites, that’s crazy!

I am looking for a hotel near the Children's Hopital of PA, everyone seems to refer to it as "CHOP". From my research it looks like it's in the University area which seems to be a cluster of the higher end hotels. I would love for my son to have a wonderful experience since it will end up being, what we anticipate, a not so good experience at CHOP. How far out can the hotel be located? My hope would obviously be walking distance. If it is a beautiful hotel I wouldn't be locked into the distance but need to be close. This is my first time considering Priceline since we will be taking this trip a few times I'm looking for a reasonable rate. Is there an ideal starting bid rate for the 3 1/2 star hotels?
