Hotwire Hotel: help Florence,italy

I see a 5* in florence italy for check-in 07/27- 07/30. I checked 2 rooms 2 adults for a price of $122

ANY IDEAS?

I don't know which hotel it is, but I would hop on that! I've been looking at May and the 5*'s are ~225.

See if it's close to the city center because there are some 5*'s outside of the city that are probably a pain to get to.

It's in city center ( 0.0-1.0) I checked tripadvisor and tried to narrow it down. But the amenities throw me off. There's no close match

Best guess is a new amenity set for the Montebello Splendid Florence.

I'm not seeing that Florence reporting now. Which area was it?

When I've watched other foreign city Hotwire offerings, they seem to change very rapidly. Also, there aren't a lot of Florence wins reported here. I think you'd be wise to keep the reported wins list open when you are looking, see if you can find a match just for information, and then just jump on the deal if it is a good one. Whether or not you find a match. Summertime deals in Florence are pretty rare.

That hotel is showing a 4.5 tripadvisor rating and could be any of eight hotels in central Florence. If that was showing for the dates I need, I would grab it imediately. It can not get that level of rating easily in Florence and all the hotels coming up have over 200 reviews at 4.5.

I have noticed in both Florence and Venice that I get better inventory with 2 rooms selected as is the case here. This hotel does not come up with one room selected.

Una Hotel Vittoria Florence would be at least one possibility among the likely outcomes, and this would be my best guess for this one.

Thanks for your replies!Went back into hotwire using your links for same dates 7/27-7/30 2 rooms 3 nights and a four star in Florence East - Bagno a Ripoli area hotel came up for $91.00 a night (other sites $204) amenities are

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

High-Speed Internet Access

Went on to Travelocity punched in those dates and using filters with these amenities Il Mulino di Firenze came up with a price of $204.00

What's your thoughts?

I don't think this is the Il Mulino di Firenze.

The HOTWIRE property you're seeing is showing a 3.0/5.0 rating from Tripadvisor which is not really that good... i would look elsewhere if you have other options.

This would appear to be the Sheraton Firenze with the free parking, pool and 3 tripadvisor rating.

Thank you for closing this thread with your decision (but in the future please also indicate what you did do for the stay... what hotel you booked, canceled the trip, etc, etc)
