Looking for a hotel room in NYC's Midtown West or Times Square from 5/1 to 5/3. My budget is $160 but can go higher if needed (up to $200). Can you recommend a bidding strategy?

Unfortunately i don't think you're budget is going to be enough, but if you want to give it a try:

At the 4* level in NYC you have SEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

PS- if the above is rejected, which i think it likely will be, at the moment i'm guessing you're probably looking at $200+ for anything at the 3* and above level. If you're willing to stay outside of the city what i'm guessing is the Hyatt or Westin in Jersey City is available for under $200/nite and both provide easy access to Manhattan via PATH train... just throwing that out there to have you begin thinking of alternate options.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
