Marshal Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Can you please help with a bidding strategy for Las Vegas Strip South 5* hotel? Dates are from 05/05/12 to 05/08/12 and looking to spend max of $100 per night. If $100 per night is too low for those dates, what would be a good price for a 5* for those dates? Thanks in advance!
thereuare Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages.Your $100 budget will not likely be enough for this stay due to the Saturday nite. If you include the Saturday you're likely looking at $140-$165 for a 5* hotel... if SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID is an option and you drop the Saturday nite, you can probably get something for the last two nites near the $100 mark, then stay someplace else (likely at a lower star rating and higher cost) for Saturday nite.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Marshal Posted April 22, 2012 Author Report Posted April 22, 2012 Thanks for the quick response. Can you suggest a bidding strategy for $140 - $165 range please? Also, what price range would you suggest for a 4* for those dates and what bidding strategy?
Marshal Posted April 23, 2012 Author Report Posted April 23, 2012 After 12 re-bids that get rejected do I have to wait 24 hours before trying again?
thereuare Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Can you suggest a bidding strategy for $140 - $165 range please? Also, what price range would you suggest for a 4* for those dates and what bidding strategy? What do you want to try for first... a 5* hotel or a 4* property? Are you bidding for your complete stay OR are you willing to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID?After 12 re-bids that get rejected do I have to wait 24 hours before trying again? At the 5* level in Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones, these plus the Strip South zone you're bidding amounts to 12 bids... is that what you mean OR do you believe that there are 12 re-bid zones? Note that when bidding 4* in Vegas there are FOUR re-bid zones and Summerlin is not one of them. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
