Best guess is that this is the La Guardia Airport Hotel with the addition of the new 'Free Internet' amenity.

While this is cheap for the NYC area and this time of year, i would also point out the very low 40% customer satisfaction level from previous HOTWIRE guests, which is very low.

Is it too early to buy cheap hotel? or is it reasonable since it is peak time?

Or should I bid through PRICELINE?

This is peak season and rates for the month of may thus far have been very high.

The LGA Airport area isn't exactly the best location as a Manhattan alternative, but it depends upon your budget, as i don't think you'll find too many options in the region at this price point.
