This is my first time posting here. I thought I'd share my recent Priceline bidding success with all of you. And I did use the PRICELINE link!

I actually won this same hotel in May 2011 with a $76 bid. It has been downgraded 1/2 star since then, because at that time, when I bid 2* for LIC, they told me I had been upgraded to a 2.5*--not so this time. Nonetheless, I am happy to have gotten such a deal for late June/early July.

The hotel, while rather spartan and located in an iffy industrial section of LIC, is only about 2 blocks from the 21st St. Subway station, so you can be in Manhattan in about 15 minutes. The bagels they served at the continental breakfast were so irresistible, I actually took a few back to Atlanta with me!
