eridix_1973
I happened upon Better Bidding last week when I was looking for a good deal on a Saturday night in New York City for this coming weekend. I've learned a lot and have appreciated the tips. This was my first time using Hotwire, I was surprised that the rates on all of the search results fluctuated quite a bit from day to day and many times during the day. I had initially tried to get a 4* room for $160 (at what I presumed was the Millennium), but I had trouble with the coupon code (I had tried to use the GIFTCARD06 coupon on my first go round and my browser crashed and somehow the site thought I had already used the coupon and wouldn't let me use it at all, even after using a different computer and email address) and once I got to the purchase confirmation, the price had changed and the site sent me back to the main page to search again. I was frustrated, but was surprised to find a 4.5* for $177 on my next search (it was $211 the first time) and from reading the Hotwire Hotel List, I figured I'd gamble that it really was the Westin! I did find the coupon in my Entertainment Book (which I just picked up for $9.99) and was directed to the Great Deals site where I could get another $20 off if I signed up for their service which is free for 2 months (which I will promptly cancel once I get my $20 back). So if all goes according to plan, we'll save $50 on our night in NYC (lord knows we'll need it!).4.5*Restaurant(s) Fitness CenterSpa ServicesHigh-Speed Internet AccessBusiness Center1 room(s) @ $177.00 per night x 1 night(s) $177.00 Taxes and fees: $36.95 Total Price $213.95 Link to comment
