This would likely be the South Loop hotel. It offers free parking and usually a more reasonable rate than downtown, but do keep in mind that there's really not much of anything around it - it's a trek to downtown and not really walkable to anything. Are you driving in or flying in?

Mostly going to Soldier Field. Walking distance? We are driving in.

If you are mostly going to SF, it would be okay. I still think it would be a bit of a walk to that - I'd suggest taking a short cab ride there and back. If you were going to be mostly downtown, it definitely wouldn't be an optimal location.
