For this weekend 4/21-4/22, Priceline rejected crazy-high amounts, so I checked individual hotel sites: Almost all sold out. (Exception being a four-star on the Plaza at $369 + tax).

Missouri + Nascar = No Room at the Inn.

Try bidding in the Airport North or South Area, there are decent 3 star hotels up there that can usually be bid for the $50's.

Wow, thanks for your help. I must admit I was skeptical, but you helped me bag a room, Tutinde, if not a great deal.

Yesterday, I had bid on four-stars into the hundreds of dollars, 3.5 up to $150... But lowered my standards today per your advice, starting at $50 for a three-star. Seven free rebids at that level -- 60,70,80,85,90,95 -- until the magic number 100.

Please revise my original post topic, as rooms are available but high:

3* Holiday Inn Kansas City Airport 4/21-4/22 at $100 plus tax.
