watgold Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Hi,I am looking for 2 rooms (2 people in each room) in West Hollywood over the Memorial Day weekend (May 24-28). I'd like a 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel. Can anyone assist in what price they think I should bid? Also, any ideas what hotels this search might include?(I have read the priceline list for West Hollywood and have read the instructions on how to bid on priceline).Thank you.
thereuare Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm guessing a 4* will likely run you in the $140-$165 area and a 3.5* ~$125 or so... are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this trip? Let us know your maximum bid (at least star level if you're willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5*) and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. watgold Posted April 18, 2012 Author Report Posted April 18, 2012 Thank you for the reply. If there is more than 20-30 dollars between the 3 1/2 and 4 star, then we'd rather the lower star option.

thereuare Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 At the 4* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. watgold Posted April 19, 2012 Author Report Posted April 19, 2012 Thanks for the advice. I tried 4 star at 100 and didn't get it, then tried 3 star at 90 and didn't get it. I can't open the link you said to go to to determine how to reselect zones for the next round (it's blocked on my work computer). Are you able to let me know how to rezone and try again? Thanks,Sarah
