girlsx3 Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Hi all, just found this board and look forward to soaking up the info!Anyway, friend is flying us to Vegas for his daughter's wedding. We'd love to get a 5*, but am not having much luck.Is there any way we're going to get a 5* for less than $150? If we have to we'd do a 4* for $120. Any help would certainly be appreciated.Diane :)
girlsx3 Posted July 17, 2005 Author Report Posted July 17, 2005 Hi, I posted a request for help last week for an upcoming trip. I notice there were quite a few views, but no replies. Everyone around my post seems to be answered and/or helped, but nothing for me. Just wondering if I didn't give enough info or if I'm just not welcome because it's my first time posting.
thereuare Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 I remember this post and thought i had replied to it... not sure if/why/how it didn't post.Sorry 'bout that... i'm on my out for a bit but will have a look and reply by later tonite. Thanks for bumping the thread back up for us to have another look. thereuare Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Once again... sorry for a lack of reply.Unfortunately i don't think you'll be successful at either of your above limits. We'll suggest a strategy to try none-the-less, but do you have any type of back-up plan or reservation? girlsx3 Posted July 19, 2005 Author Report Posted July 19, 2005 Well, since time was running short here's what we did. Luxor is showing $149 for Friday and $279 for Saturday. We were really getting nervous and unfortunately I think I may have jumped the gun, but oh well it's only 2 nites and the airfare was free.......... :) Ending up getting the Luxor for $150 with Priceline. I know, probably could have done better, but at least I saved $130 on the Saturday nite rate.
girlsx3 Posted July 19, 2005 Author Report Posted July 19, 2005 Forgot to ask - is it better to be in the tower or the "pyramid" and is it worth mentioning at the front desk that we're also celebrating hubby's birthday in hopes of some sort of upgrade? :)
thereuare Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Some like the tower rooms are considered better, but some prefer the unique-ness of the pyramid rooms.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
