Was actually trying to win Sheraton Brooklyn, upping my bid by $5 and adding districts where I figured I had no chance of winning. Ended up with his one, seems like a decent deal for the peak season, good transport links to everything else.

If you're not familiar with re-bidding, see this thread: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained for the property way to figure out which zones are safe to add when bidding. Also, with your stay nearly 4 months away i wouldn't take any chances and add zones which you really didn't want (other than re-bid zones as per the method described in the previous link).

If you have any questions regarding re-bidding feel free to ask. At least you received something in southern Manhattan which should still be relatively close to Brooklyn if that is where your needs take you.

If you're looking for a casual restaurant one nite i recommend this place which is about a 10 minute walk from your hotel (it's a restaurant, not a slice shop... stick with the rectangular pizza which is what they're best known for):
