Started with the amherst area to get close to the university.

It is graduation weekend there and thus the bids did not get accpeted.

I am going with a big group and was hoping to get a hotel with free morning breakfast.

Luckily got extended stay which has what i am looking for as well as good connection to the university.

Yes it is a Residence Inn but my winning bid did say that it was a 3* property.

I dont know why it is listed as a 2.5* though.

There are two Residence Inn properties in this area, can you confirm the address of the one you received.

Also, did you start by bidding 3* and then lower your star rating on subsequent bids or did you only bid 3* when bidding? Does the actual page with the hotel name on it show 3* or are you looking at a summary of your bidding history in your PRICELINE profile?
