Rafaela Posted April 14, 2012 Report Posted April 14, 2012 I want to stay in Chelsea, in a hotel 3 * or more. I saw the Indigo Hotel on Priceline and I really liked. How can I get this hotel or equivalent?I already made a bid of $ 170 in Chelsea area but had no success. What would be the strategy to stay in a 3 * hotel in this area of Chelsea / NYC? I can spend only $ 180.Help!

thereuare Posted April 14, 2012 Report Posted April 14, 2012 You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.Given you've already bid at $170 and were turned down, if you want to try PRICELINE again and are willing to accept any 3* or higher hotel in the zone, wait 24 hours after your last rejected bid and try...At the 3* level in NYC you have ONE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* Chelsea...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $180Any questions feel free to ask. If you're rejected we'll discuss your other options. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
