After reviewing the barious pricing and search engines I found there was almost nothing under $100 at the 3 star level which was near the strip. The few properties that were 3 star and $85-95 were on Boulder Highway!? So I went with an initial bid of $75 and an expectation it would be easly refused. I was surprised to find it was accepted by the Rennisance Marriott next to the Convention Center?! I checked thier reservation rate and it seems firm at a minimum of $150+ for friday and $290 for saturday! There is no resort fee and parking is free! However, there is a $12.95 fee for web access and it resets at 12 noon.

We check in Friday the 13th

In any event - I am pleased... as for 2 rooms for 2 days the total cost was just under $350! Booking directly would have cost $440 per room PLUS taxes of perhaps 10% = $484 for one room or $968! I figure this is about 64% off!
