Priceline Hotel: 3* Rochester (South) Ramada Rochester Mayo Clinic Area

Got a room for $53 a night with two queens and fridge/microwave for four nights. Normal rate is $109 or $74 with advanced purchase(no cancellations permitted). This hotel is listed as a three star and has two separate buildings with rooms. The main building is the newer part and those rooms are of 3 star quality. However, the older rooms are maybe 2 or 2.5 star and still need some updating. I stayed here in January, 2012 and was given one of the older rooms because they were so full. Looking forward to trying the new rooms this time.

They have a great breakfast buffet with waffles, eggs, cereals, oatmeal, breads, pastries, juice and coffee. Also a free shuttle to the Mayo Clinic and other hospitals around town. A huge pool, sauna, hot tub and a poolside arcade for the kids.

Even if you get one of the older rooms, $53 a night is still a steal as almost all the hotels start in the $70s per night. (even the crappy ones)
