Kairostx Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 There are several in the Dallas Galleria zone with 4 stars that have the same amenities. The only thing differentiating them is the "recommended in XX% of Hotwire customer reviews." I tried to see if any of the pinned Hotwire hotels on BB have the recommended customer reviews to further tell which hotel we would actually be bidding on. Specifically there is a 4 star hotel recommended by 100 percent of Hotwire customers.
thereuare Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! The percent recommended numbers can often change from search-to-search, even for the same hotel, and will even sometimes revert to a 'still gathering reviews for this property' (even when the suspected property it has previously shown a percentage figure on a previous search) and therefore is not a reliable datapoint to use to identify hotels. What are the amenities associated with the 4* hotel you're currently being offered on HOTWIRE for the dates above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Kairostx Posted April 12, 2012 Author Report Posted April 12, 2012 That's pretty deceiving of Hotwire to change the percent of customers satisfied with a hotel. I'd rather them leave that information off than make me think a hotel has 100 percent recommendation only to find out it's arbitrary and it may pop up at 85 percent the next time I search. Anyway, back to busines...There is a 4 star for the dates above for $66 with Pool, Restaurant, Hi-Speed Internet and Business Center. Looks like that can be the Inter-Continental, Westin or Le Meridien. Based on previous posts and experience I'm betting that is the Le Meridien for that price. Since I can't narrow it down any further I think I will try Priceline at $49 since I will likely get the Le Meridien using either Hotwire or Priceline. I'll let you know.
