I have been trying for about the last week bidding on Priceline with no luck (Times Square, Midtown West, Empire State Building). I am considering this hotel but was hoping to find out if it is closer to the park or Times Square...

I ended up holding out as I agreed with your assessment that the description matched the Manhattan Hotel and I wanted to stay closer to Times Square. I ended up going with this hotel: 4* Empire State Building Area $191/night. Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center.

It ended up being The Strand Hotel
