Chocking Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 We have been bidding on Priceline for the past month for travel this week and have had no luck. We need a hotel 4/12-4/17. We have bid up to 246 on Priceline and have been denied. Ideally we really want the Hyatt which we have stayed at before. Hotwire has a 4* for 246 but I'm not sure what it is. Please help!
AaronJB Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Rates are quite high for these dates and the hotel may not have discounted inventory - while Expedia has a 5th night free special, the per night average with that is still $355 (otherwise rates per night for these dates are $444.) What are the details of the HOTWIRE listing? (star rating, zone and complete set of amenities showing with the listing)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Chocking Posted April 10, 2012 Author Report Posted April 10, 2012 Thanks for your reply. I was afraid that they may not have availability through price line! My main concern is that we end up on Clearwater beach not over at Sand Key. Any ideas what this hotwire listing could be for?4-star Hotel in Clearwater BeachThis Hotel features the following amenities:Beachfront Property Property is located on the beach.Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.Business Center Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply.High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.Recommended:In 70% of Hotwire customer reviews.Clearwater Beach area hotel $246.00per room, per nightIt says it is in the Clearwater Beach zone and is(0.0 - 2.2 mi from city center)
thereuare Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 I'm not currently seeing this property offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing the above on your own search? If so, are you searching HOTWIRE for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Chocking Posted April 11, 2012 Author Report Posted April 11, 2012 It disappeared! There is a new one at 338 now, assuming its the Hyatt. Not sure we can afford that. Still up in the air on what to do. Thanks!
