My strategy was - procrastination!

I started looking far in advance and was putting in a lot of low ball offers while at the same time watching hotwire for a price drop. One day there was a substantiation drop so I figured it was time to bid appropriate. For example, a standard size car was hovering around $31 per day then one day it dropped to 14. I wasn't sure if it would drop further - so, I bid 11 and won.

btw, how do you change the title to reflect standard not full size?

For car rentals we need to edit the topic title, but for hotels you can edit the topic title yourself by using the EDIT TO REPORT WIN button on the lower right corner of the page (HOWEVER, the EDIT button is only visible to the original thread starter and can only be used once as it will disappear once used)
