I was wondering if anyone could help me identify a 4.5* hotel in the Magnificent Mile-Streeterville area. The price is $188 per room, for three people, two rooms, from June 20 to June 26. The amenities are: smoke free rooms, fitness centre, pool(s), restaurant(s), business centre, and high-speed Internet access. It was recommended in 90% of Hotwire customer reviews.

I've never booked a hotel using Hotwire, so I appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks!

A 4.5* property with this exact amenity set has not yet been reported to the board, but i think this may be the Inter-Continental Chicago with the addition of a new 'Smoke Free' amenity... it is a non-smoking property and this would be my best guess.

You've got plenty of time before your stay, so why not book the Hard Rock for $160/nite on Lastminutetravel.com, or the Westin for $171/nite...cancelable up to 3 days before stay. They are both in the same area as the Intercontinental. Then you can keep an eye on Hotwire and possibly try a bid or two on Priceline.

Expedia has the Hotel Felix for $162/nite, cancelable.

How are you able to see what the name of the hotels are on Lastminutetravel.com? Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely going to look around a bit, but I'm just trying to get a feel for what prices are out there. Thanks for all the help so far, everyone!

There's a thread up above under "Off Topic: Run of House" titled LAST MINUTE TRAVEL - Tool For Identifying Hotels that shows a couple of ways to determine the name of the hotel. You can also call LMT directly and ask for a specific hotel. Sometimes the call in rate is cheaper than the website rate.

That's great advice, thanks! I'll definitely be using the hotel identifying tool in the future. Since I still have some time until I have to book, I'll be keeping an eye on all of these sites.
