Exhaling2day1
I do not know anything about NOLA. I have a cruise scheduled 9/23/2012 and would like to come in early at 9/22/2012. I will not have a car. From my research, it seems that a cool spot would be the French Quarter so I can have some activities to do and I will just take a cab to the cruise port. In bidding, obviously I would choose the French Quarter but are there any other areas I should be open to? Link to comment
thereuare
The 'Downtown' zone is close to the French Quarter and should be sufficient as well, but it really depends upon your desired star rating and budget... what star rating and maximum bid do you have in mind? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. tigersbh
I usually get a better deal if I choose downtown as the location. It's within easy walking distance of the French Quarter. And coming in a day early is an excellent idea. There is a lot to do. Link to comment
Exhaling2day1
My preference is to keep it under $100. I would like a 3* or 4* hotel. I can be flexible with price, since it is also a pre-cruise night and a weekend. It will be my first time! I'm excited. I wish I had more time off of work right before to explore NOLA more. thereuare
My preference is to keep it under $100. I would like a 3* or 4* hotel. Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* vs. a 3* OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this trip? At the moment i think you'll have to exceed your $100 budget, but perhaps not by much (~$120 or so is my guess based upon current prices)Is both French Quarter and Downtown acceptable?Let us know the above and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. If you're open to increasing your bid amount feel free to post before bidding and we'll see if rates have come back down at all, remained the same, or increased. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.
